iOS app: basics, sign-in and getting around

The Straton iOS app is used by two groups:

  • Individuals, who train on their own with a plan built by Straton.
  • Coach clients, who train with a Straton coach.

It is the same app. What you see depends on who you train with.

Requirements

Device iPhone
iOS version iOS 17 or later
Orientation Portrait
iPad No iPad version
Android Not available
Web There is no web version of the client app
Language English

First launch

The Welcome screen has two buttons.

Get started asks “How are you training?”:

Already have an account? Log in offers:

  • Continue with Apple
  • Continue with Google
  • Continue with email

Signing in

  • Sign in the same way you signed up. Signing in with a different Apple ID or Google account creates a new, empty account instead of opening your existing one.
  • Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
  • There is no “forgot password” link in the app. Reset your password on the web at app.straton.fit: choose Forgot password? on the login page. The reset link is valid for 60 minutes.
  • Your email address cannot be changed in the app. Contact support if it needs to change.

“How do you want to train?”

This screen appears when you are signed in to an account that has no plan and no coach. It usually means one of two things:

  • You signed in with a different account from the one your coach’s invitation was accepted on. Sign out and sign in with the right one.
  • You have not accepted your coach’s invitation yet. Open the invitation link from your email, or sign out, tap Get started > With a coach and enter your code.

If Train on your own is offered on this screen, you can choose it to start a personal plan.

The five tabs

Tab What it shows
Home Today’s workout, any check-in waiting, today’s nutrition, habits due, body stats and recovery
Trains Your programs and training statistics
Nutrition Calorie and macro targets, today’s meals and your food log
Habits Habits due today, consistency and streaks
Profile Your details, progress, check-ins, settings, billing and support

Home

  • A greeting, a flame showing your workout streak, and (for coach clients) the Messages icon.
  • Workout cards for today. Swipe between them. Tap Start workout. On a day with nothing scheduled you see a rest day card.
  • Check-in or intake card when one is waiting.
  • Nutrition card with calories and macros so far.
  • Due today: habits you can log in place.
  • Body: weight and body fat.
  • Recovery: four cards from Apple Health. See Apple Health.

Pull down to refresh.

Trains

  • My programs, with View all. Programs are marked Active, Paused, Completed or Upcoming, and Scheduled or Self-paced.
  • Statistics for 30 days, 90 days or all time: sessions, volume, time, streak, adherence, effort, body composition, muscle balance, a consistency heatmap and your top exercises.
  • Tap an exercise for its progression, personal records and history.

Statistics appear after your first finished workout.

Training with more than one coach, or a coach and a personal plan

One account can belong to several workspaces, for example a coach and a personal plan. When it does, a Training with menu appears on Home and on Profile. Tap it to switch. Everything in the app changes to that workspace. A personal plan is labelled “Personal”.

Offline and syncing

  • The app keeps a saved copy of your data, so screens open quickly and can be viewed without a connection.
  • “Showing your saved copy” means you are seeing saved data. Tap Retry to refresh.
  • Saving anything needs an internet connection: finishing a workout, logging food or a habit, sending a check-in or a message.
  • A workout in progress is kept only while the app stays open. If the app is force-closed or crashes mid-workout, the sets logged in that session are lost. Minimising the app or locking the phone is fine.

Getting help

Profile > Help & support opens a chat with Straton support. If chat is unavailable it opens an email to support@straton.fit.

Common questions

I signed in and my plan or coach is gone. You are probably in a different account. Sign out and sign in with the method you used originally (Apple, Google or email).

Can I use the app on two phones? Yes. Sign in with the same account on both. A workout in progress is not shared between devices.

Is there an Android app? Not yet.

Is there an Apple Watch app or a Home Screen widget? No. During a workout the app shows a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

“Can’t reach the server. Check your connection.” Check Wi-Fi or mobile data, then pull down to refresh. If the problem continues on a good connection, contact support.
