Coaches work in the Straton web app at `app.straton.fit`. Clients use the iOS
app. This article covers creating a coach account, setting up a workspace and
the layout of the web app.

## Creating an account

1. Go to `app.straton.fit` and choose **Sign up**.
2. Enter your name, email and a password of at least 8 characters, or use
   **Continue with Google** or **Continue with Apple**.
3. Complete the "I'm not a robot" style check. If it is skipped the form shows
   "Please complete the verification".
4. Click **Create account**.

A verification email is sent. The link is valid for 60 minutes. You can start
using Straton before verifying, but a verified email is needed for the free
trial.

## Setting up your workspace

After signing up you go through three short steps.

**Step 1: Create your workspace**

- **Workspace Name**, for example "FitPro Coaching".
- **Workspace URL**. This becomes `app.straton.fit/your-url`. It must be 3 to 50
  characters, using lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. The form tells you
  if the URL is already taken.
- How many clients you work with.

**Step 2: Tell us about your coaching**

- Where you are based.
- How you coach: 1:1 Coaching, Group Training, Online Coaching, In-Person,
  Hybrid.
- Whether you have existing clients.

**Step 3: One last thing**

- How you heard about Straton.

Click **Create Workspace**. Your 14-day free trial starts. No payment method is
needed. See [Plans, billing and trial](/coaches/plans-and-billing).

## Signing in

- Sign in with email and password, Google or Apple.
- **Forgot password?** sends a reset link valid for 60 minutes. Resetting your
  password signs you out everywhere else.
- If the reset email does not arrive, check spam, then request a new link.

## The layout

After signing in you land on the **Agent** page. There is no separate dashboard.
The Agent's briefing shows what needs your attention.

Some items only appear for certain plans and roles:

**Automations** is shown as "Soon" and is not available yet.

### Other parts of the screen

- **Workspace switcher** (top of the sidebar): move between workspaces, open
  workspace settings, or create a new workspace. Your plan is shown as a badge.
- **Notification bell**: your in-app notifications, with **Mark all as read**.
- **Pinned Clients**: appears once you pin a client.
- **Billing card** (bottom of the sidebar): trial days left, or a billing
  problem that needs attention.
- **User menu**: Settings, light or dark mode, **Help** (opens a chat with
  Straton support) and sign out.
- **Message dock**: a floating Messages button on larger screens. Turn it off in
  **Settings > Preferences**.

There is no global search. Each page has its own search box.

## When a page says a plan is required

If your plan does not include a feature, the page shows "{Feature} requires
{Plan}".

- The billing manager sees **View plans**.
- Everyone else sees "Contact the workspace billing manager to change plans."
- "Unable to verify this workspace plan" means billing details could not be
  loaded. Click **Retry**.

## A suggested first hour

1. Add your logo and brand colour in **Settings > General**.
2. Copy a few programs from the **Straton Library**, or build your own.
3. Create a check-in form under **Forms**.
4. On Pro or Studio: connect Stripe under **Integrations**, create a package
   under **Products**, then publish a **Client Onboarding** flow.
5. Invite your first client from **Clients > Invite client**.

## Common questions

**Can I use Straton on my phone as a coach?**
The coach tools are a web app, designed for a computer browser. The iOS app is
for clients and individuals.

**Can I have more than one workspace?**
Yes. Use **Create new workspace** in the workspace switcher. Each workspace has
its own plan and billing. The free trial is available once per account.

**Can I change my workspace URL later?**
Yes, in **Settings > General**. Existing links to the old URL stop working, so
update anything you have shared.

**I never received the verification email.**
Check spam. A new verification email is sent each time you sign in while
unverified.
